Sruwaddacon Bay, Rossport, Co. Mayo

Sruwaddacon Bay

2nd November 2017

A solitary shell, open, empty, unwanted;

filled with the gases we call air.

Broken, divided, it can never be the same.

Once it was a home, life untouched, nature unchanged.

The tide returns, filling the bay with sea,

bird prints wash away, shells disappear,

but it will never be the same.
