Magheramenagh Beach, Co. Sligo

Magheramenagh, 26th may 2018

Dry sandy ribs line the still wet grey
and forgotten pools reflect the timeless stones
surrounded by a ring of pebble
the grey embrace is spooned by grassy green

All that appears grey dull and lifeless
hopeless as life from a rock
reveals hidden beauty
rings concentric
white lines of chaos
faces in the rocks
frilled golden kelp
and seaweed calligraphy.
